the brocante tour gets underway

by Sharon Santoni

The September Brocante Tour got underway last Tuesday and yet again I am in awe of the amazing guests who have trusted us and joined the Tour.

My French Country Home Brocante Tour Sept 18

On this tour I have only lady guests, and there is a special bond that is palpable within the first few hours of the tour.   Maybe we are linked by our common love of all things French, or by the fascination for brocante and antiques, and maybe its just because each person brings their own personality to the table without ever forgetting to be interested in those around them.   Whatever the reason the tours are always most enjoyable.

As well as daily opportunities  to shop, we have enjoyed private guided visits to a 16th century chapel; a cooking lesson; a private visit to Versailles and a beautiful encounter with a watercolour artist at her 17th C chateau home.

Here is just a small selection of pictures from the tour, it is a challenge to remember to take enough shots, but for more images you are welcome to follow along on my Instagram stories.

We already have dates for our Spring tour in Provence and for our next year brocante tour in Normandy and Paris, and we’ll soon announce a brand new antique and lifestyle tour for 2019.   Watch this space!

The light in Normandy is so incredible. I was expecting to see Monet peeking around the corner of the gate in your third photo.

Would love to join you for the Normandy tour. My father was at Normandy Beach in World War II…which was not a good memory…but always wanted to return to see Paris and Normandy in it’s all it’s glory one day. He was swept away by the kindness of the French people.

I am still keeping a tour on my bucket list in the near future. The problem is I do not think I would want to return! Such beautiful scenery strictly out of a beautiful book! Such amazing gifts in life we are given at times we do not even notice until one day we look up at the heavens and discover what a beautiful world in which we live.

Sharon,
I am planning to join your trip for September of 2019. What do I need to do and when? I may have a friend who will be attending with myself. I would appreciate any convo you could offer.

Most appreciative,
Deborah Deaton

Sharon,
The beauty you have shared with us over the years continues to warm my soul and speak to my heart! Thank you for your commitment to your fans and for sharing with us your beautiful home and countryside and the amazing places you visit. My life has been truly blessed by your talents, including your stories! PS: I can’t wait until the next book! This one, I cherish so, is sitting where I told you it would be all those years ago….on my coffee table! What a wonderful conversation piece and, even more so, a relaxing look through for any time!
With love, Alana Springer
