I am excited to tell you that I’m packing my bags and will be travelling to the USA in November. I have some fun events lined up and wanted to give you the dates in case you are able to come by to say hello.

Dallas – 11th & 12th November
I start my trip in Dallas, where I am honoured to be invited to speak at the Dallas Garden Club. I am very grateful to the Club for inviting me to their Fall Luncheon, and look forward to sharing pictures of my garden and telling them all about gardening and country life here in Normandy, which is a very different experience to that in Texas.

The day before the Garden Club event, so that would be the Thursday 11th November from 2-3.30pm, there will be a book signing at the St Michael’s Exchange, 5 Highland Park Village. I really hope that many of you will be able to stop by at this lovely store and say hello!
Tahilla Gatherings 13th & 14th November
From Dallas I fly north, and join my friend Jeanne Henriques for two days at Tahilla Farm in New Hampshire.
I am very excited about this event for lots of reasons. Firstly I get to see Jeanne again. Jeanne and I have been friends since our first days of blogging, and we have happy memories of those early blogging times. Her blog is Collage of Life. Jeanne has led an exciting life as an expat travelling the world, and I’ve always admired her ability to create a new home wherever she lands, be that in the UK, in Vietnam, in Hong Kong and more recently back in the USA. She is also an outstanding photographer, and definitely one to follow on Instagram here.
Before Covid, Jeanne regularly hosted rather wonderful small retreats called Tahilla Gatherings. Moments of reflection in the stunning setting of her property, surrounded by forest and meadows. I’m honoured to join her for her first event since the pandemic.
We will hold two events, on the 13th and 14th of November. You can find all the details on Jeanne’s site here and here. The theme for the first day will be a conversation about reinvention. Jeanne and I will chat about our own reinvention stories and also invite our guests to share their stories or maybe their ambitions for a next big step.
The second day will include a creative twist as I put together a tablescape using foliage foraged, on her property. We hope that the event will provide further opportunities for discussion as well as the shared pleasure of decorating a pretty table and chatting over lunch.
Pop over to Jeann’s site Collage of Life for all the details and for tickets.
Les Fleurs Andover 16th & 17th November
From Tahilla I head down to Andover, where my friend Sandra Sigman has invited me to join her for an event in support of a local charity called Uncommon Threads. You can see the details here.
Sandra and I have been friends for many years, and have hosted tours together in France. She is an outstanding florist, and with her team at Les Fleurs, produces wonderful floral displays for clients in and around Andover.
On Tuesday 16th we will host an event at the Andover Town House, this will include a meet & greet, a short presentation with slideshow of pictures of my country life here in Normandy, a conversation between Sandra and myself and then a Q&A with the audience.
You can find all the details of the event here. Sandra is tailoring the event around the theme, women supporting women. There will be gift bags, a raffle, and the event will be ticketed in aid of Uncommon Threads.
This charity works with women women in need, helping to build self-esteem through wardrobe styling services and positive development coaching. We are thrilled to be hosting this event to support such a worthy cause in the local community.
On the next day, the Wednesday 17th I will be at Sandra’s store Les Fleurs and available to sign books and meet people who weren’t able to come to the ticketed event. Sandra and I are also excited to announce a new project that we are both working on right now, watch this space!
This whole trip feels like a big adventure after the past 18 months of restricted travel. I am grateful to everyone who is helping me pull this together, and hope that it will be opportunity to meet many of our readers and clients as I move around. Please be sure to let us know if you’ll be coming!

Sounds like a wonderful trip – no stops near Kansas City, maybe next time. I hope you have nice weather while you are in the States.
So delighted you are bringing your magic and inspiration to the US. I sincerely hope your next trip includes a visit to Southern California.
I have been inspired to visit your lovely Normandy in May. Of course I’m using my MFCH magazines as a guide to what to see and do.
Thank you Sharon!

Oh how I wish you were coming to Atlanta! I know your trip will be marvelous!
Sounds marvellous- downunder could be a destination when we are out of this horrendous lockdown situation that we find ourselves in here in Australia !
It sounds like a lovely trip. Remember to pack a good supply of face masks, you’ll need ’em.
Not so much in Dallas! Luckily people are going back to normal there….
Thank you Emm, already have them and definitely intend to wear them whenever I’m moving around 🙂
We want you to stay healthy! 🙂
Enjoy your trip!!
I really enjoyed meeting you when you were in Chicago during your last trip to the USA.
Safe travels!!
Thank you Estelle!
Have a wonderful trip and safe travels. I wish you were coming to Washington DC and I could show you around.
I cannot express in words, how delighted I am, when I open my email and see postings from MFCH. My life has taken such a wild twist and turn, and left me far from any kind of norm, and with the exception of my little Pomeranian, very much alone. To read your absolutely delightful postings elevates me and once again gives me hope that one day I’ll be able to revisit the wonderful country of France. Until that day, welcome to the United States! I am certain these gracious ladies will treat you to all sites and sounds, and avoid the rough and tumble. There is much to see in our beautiful country. Thank you for the beautiful gift of your lovely magazine, and all of the wonderful people, food, towns, crafts, history, fashion, and lifestyle that brings us closer to knowing and appreciating each other. You are a true gem.
Dear Lisa, thank you so much for your kind words! I’m looking forward to visiting the States again, and I hope that soon you’ll be back to France.
best
Sharon
Sharon, I wish you were coming back through Georgia again. It was so much fun to meet and speak with you when you were in Marietta. Maybe on your next trip?
I loved our chat too Vicky, thank you ! In these strange Covid times I didn’t feel comfortable criss-crossing the country as I normally do on my tours. Maybe another time, with pleasure

I just returned from the United States. I flew to Oakland for a few days on vacation. It’s a nice place to relax, lots of places to eat, walk and friendly people. I rented a car for 4 days on https://14cars.com/car-rental/usa-oakland-airport-oak-budget and visited all the corners of the city
Sharon Santoni’s post about her upcoming trip to the USA is simply captivating! Her words exude anticipation and excitement for the journey ahead, and I can’t help but feel thrilled to follow along as she explores new places and experiences.
As I read about her travel plans, I couldn’t help but be reminded of the importance of mental health awareness, particularly during travels. Being knowledgeable about conditions like cyclical depression is crucial for fostering understanding and support for ourselves and others throughout our journeys.
In connection with this, I recently stumbled upon an insightful blog post that delves into what is cyclical depression that sheds light on this specific mental health condition and provides valuable insights into its symptoms and management.
Sharon, thank you for sharing your exciting travel plans with us. Your enthusiasm is infectious, and I am eagerly awaiting updates from your adventures in the USA. Let’s also remember to prioritize mental health, being compassionate and understanding to ourselves and fellow travelers as we embark on our own journeys. Safe travels and may your trip be filled with unforgettable experiences!
One movie I stumbled onto in the course of my day was meant to motivate me, and it worked. It’s amazing how even a few minutes of browsing material that motivates you may turn your day entirely. This Motivational Video reminded me that there is always a flicker of hope ready to be ignited even in the most dire of situations.
