the comfort of chalet living

by Sharon Santoni

Here we are in November, with autumn leaves falling all around and the colours turning fast. I’m trying to get out in the garden and for walks in the forest each day, because I know that very soon the temperatures will take a serious dive and I won’t be so tempted to wander. I could do with a little chalet living.

Thoughts are already turning towards the end of the year, the holidays and precious time spent with family. Each year come the same questions, and I expect it is the same for you. Who will be home for the holidays? How many will be around our table? Will it be a big and lively holiday period, or will it still feel quiet like last year?

When we decided on our theme for our November box, I immediately said ‘Chalet Style’. I was longing for the comfort of a mountain chalet, the warmth of an open fire, the cosiness of deep armchairs piled with lots of cushions and a good book to read.

We have created the upcoming box with this atmosphere in mind. We want our clients to feel cosy, to relax and enjoy this end of year with some beautiful French products to keep them company.

The Chalet theme has been very popular and is selling out fast, but there is still a little time to purchase one for yourself or someone special. We ship the box in the third week of November, so if you are looking for a gift for a loved one it will arrive in plenty of time for the holidays . You can purchase a one-off box, or buy a subscription and see your box arrive automatically every three months. The choice is yours! All information is to be found here.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions. And in the meantime if all this talk of chalet living and the snow has you longing for a warm meal, then check out our recipe for cheese fondue, here.

My father had skis like those in your first picture, back in the long ago. More than six feet long, and with bear-trap bindings. I think they were made of pine.
Skiing in a skirt must have been … interesting.

Cute. How comfortable she looks not worried her skirt might end up over her head.
I love old postcards how they make everything look so perfect. The nostalgia of the past is comforting.

Yes, I’d also like to spend my vacation in such a chalet and go skiing. Two months ago, I even quit gambling to stop losing and start saving for my dream vacation. Despite the Melbet promo codes I received from this site https://promocodemelbet.com/, I lost a lot because I’m not a sports expert and didn’t make good predictions. Therefore, I decided to quit gambling as I’m concerned about my future.
