The next time you receive a mail or a phone call asking for permission to take photos of your home to be published, don’t get nervous …. simply answer with a resounding ……………… YES!!.
The journalists I mentioned on Thursday, have arrived and are totally charming.
They don’t expect the gardens to be overpoweringly fragrant or the house to be picture perfect. They have understood that this is first and foremost a family home .
Here they are taking pictures today outside and inside ……… fun, fun fun!!

Thanks for your kind comments – sorry to disappoint but I’m not allowed to say yet which magazine, and anyway the article probably won’t appear until next Spring – so don’t hold your breath!

Now enjoy your Sunday!
Dearest Sharon,
NEVER be nervous again! Both my husband and I have done numerous interviews for TV and radio and for magazines, you name it. I've always put colleagues and others at ease by saying: 'They won't eat you alive; they certainly have had their breakfast already…' But for both parties it works more natural if the ice is broken. That is evident in your great photos, very homey and natural indeed. Truely 'My French Country HOME'…
Lots of love,
Mariette

Hi Sharon, The hardest part of being asked to be featured in a magazine was having to clean our many large windows over and over again…the "inside" photographer kept changing the date. The "outside" photographer was right on schedule and so were the flowers.
Looking forward to seeing your publication next Spring.
Bonjour! I'm new to your lovely blog, I love it and I'm now following along! Very lovely.
It must have been so interesting having a photo shoot of your house, look forward to the finished item, is it a french or english magazine!!!

How exciting for you and your family. I'm glad the experience was positive.
Well, I´ll keep an aye on all French magazines now… 🙂
Great pictures full of natural flair, beautiful!
Congratulations!
Will the article be in an English (U.S.A.) magazine, too?
Incredibly exciting! You and your home look gorgeous, too. Can't wait to see the final photos!
What a wonderful thing to have happened! I hope that we will be able to see the magazine here in the US.
Firstly I love your blog as it always transports me to France. Your home is beautiful and the setting is spectacular. Photographers and the press are professional and it always amazes me how they make one feel so comfortable by being personal and sincere. Then when the camera get rolling, their subject is fully relaxed and warmed up. You looked terrific and I have no doubt that you gave it your all. Looking forward to seeing the article
Have a great week
