puppy love

by Sharon Santoni
First of all you mustn’t think this is turning into a puppy blog !  My life doesn’t always  go to plan, or rather doesn’t always have a plan to go to, and at the moment – quite unexpectedly – my daily routine is rather dominated by puppies. So just when I thought there was a danger of me getting bored … you know, not enough to do…. spending hours reading magazines and sipping wine … the stuff we all do all the time !  LOL!
Just when we were getting into a routine with Gibson the Great , Gibson the Glorious – we find ourselves with two puppies at home!

Enter … Ghetto !  A wire haired fox terrier
Yup, I know he’s small, exactly one tenth of Gibson’s weight but between the two of them it was love at first sight.  Gibson is showing himself to be a true Golden, generously making room for Ghetto in his bed, pretending to be pulled over by the midget dog in tugs of war, letting Ghetto climb all over him and chew his ears. Amazing.
Puppy love?
In the meantime when Gibson needs a break from nursery school
he takes my son Jim out for a walk to the village shop!

Aren't goldens the best? Dylan has a pint size buddy up the road and he too lets that small pup climb all over him patiently. Gibson and ghetto are so sweet together! We all love pups so post away!

This post is just so cute. I want one. My niece is getting two kittens soon, so no doubt my blog will be non stop posts about the little bundles of fluff. x

So sweet together. Gibson's a Golden, what breed is Ghetto? They're both adorable.

I have just stumbled across your beautiful blog via Hill House Diaries.

I can see myself returning often … and now I am going to make myself a nice cup of tea, scroll down and soak up the atmosphere – *sigh*

I think it's so nice to have two dogs to keep each other company. Ghetto looks like a wire haired Jack Russell (?) in which case, he should have no trouble keeping up with Gibson. In fact, Gibson may have trouble keeping up with Ghetto (I've had JRT's for years and love that fiesty energy!!!)

They are both too cute! We had 3 dogs and just lost our border collie a few months ago. I'm so glad we still have 2 and not just one, the way they play with one another makes me smile every day! Enjoy those sweet pups.

Just adorable! Almost makes us want to get a new puppy…then we remember the chewing phase and come to our senses. The two puppies sleeping are the cutest. That's great, because puppies really do need a friend.

The universe smiles on us when we open our hearts and homes to puppies. Especially ones as cute as Gibson and Ghetto. Post once a month on them we would love to see puppy love evolve as it does. Thanks for sharing…adorable little four paws.

Bienvenue chez French Girl in Seattle... July 22, 2011 - 7:42 pm

Bonjour. I am a new reader and I was so happy when I saw these amazing pics this morning. This is too precious. What adorable puppies, both of them. I have always loved dogs. In fact, if you read the last post on my blog you will see I am not lying 😉 I have been considering getting a jack russel puppy but they say they are so hyper. Can't wait to read more about Ghetto (this will no doubt help me make up my mind). Veronique aka French Girl in Seattle

Dearest Sharon,

You got two precious canines. This shows once more that dogs too love to have a companion! That's what I've learned for never ever having one alone… They love to care for, play with and cuddle another of their species. Canines and felines are very sociable animals too.
So endearing to see them together; love at first sight I guess.

Enjoy your Saturday and Sunday with love,

Mariette

Dear Sharon, We have two dogs, a golden lab mix (from the pound) and a Brittany Spaniel and a cat and countless ducks and geese and chickens. We love them all.
Show us as many pictures and as often as possible. I love pictures of dogs, especially puppies…and yours are adorable.

Congratulations on the new arrival! He's adorable. Now being a terrier, he'll be a bit more of a handful, but Gibson will keep Ghetto in line. Enjoy!

We have had 4 Goldies three who were brought up with our children when they were babies. I have a photo of one Monty lying next to our daughter as a baby knowing he was there to look after her. He was quiet as a lamb around the baby but knew when he could let loose. We have Alfie now (got him for my 50th) and he is the most beautiful dog. Im not surprised then that Gibson is so good with Ghetto. Just one thing just watch taking him on long walks whilst his bones are developing as our vet mentioned this to us (which we didnt know) and since then we have heard of other goldies having issues because of this. Thanks for the photos they are so gorgeous and thankyou for such a beautiful blog

I just post a comment on another blog saying that I love dogs, now I have only one Schnauzer, her name is Aretha and she is special, but three weeks ago I lost my other dog, a gorgeous black Danish Dog, his name was Spike and I miss him terribly.
This week I bought this beautiful book " The Dogs of Central Park". The photos are fabulous.
Nice post, great blog.
Have a nice weekend
