I am so excited for my dear friend Tish Jett who has her second book published in just a few weeks time! The title is Living Forever Chic. As I think you all know, Tish writes the blog A Femme d’un Certain Age, and her first book Forever Chic was a huge international success, and translated into fourteen languages!
The whole of Tish’s professional life has been devoted to writing about fashion and beauty. First as a journalist in the USA, and then in Paris where she was the style editor for the International Herald Tribune, and editor to the American Elle. She is journalistic aristocracy, and I am proud to call her my friend.
Tish’s second book explores the theme of chic French living, or l’art de vivre à la française. She and I chat regularly, or meet up for lunch, and during the writing process I loved to hear how the book was coming along. I was amazed at how many people Tish interviewed as she gathered secrets from the greatest Paris socialites, to French dermatologists; gastronomes as well her personal French friends. She quizzed them about how to throw the perfect dinner; or what to store in your larder, or how to curate an elegant Parisienne closet.
As well as amusing anecdotes and words of advice , Tish also gets practical with check lists designed to help us with our wardrobes, or our skin care or general home maintenance.
