Brocante Tour in Paris and Normandy 2019

Summer seems to be winding down here. Paris is vacant, the tell-tale sign that it’s August in France, and that everyone is making the most of the summer warmth before fall arrives in September.    Autumn leaves, cooler weather, and the perfect time to go on a beautiful trip. This September 24th to 29th, we have our annual Brocante tour, doing just that, traveling around my area of France, visiting shops I regularly frequent, and experiencing authentic French living.

This year’s trip will be just as special as those in the past. It starts with our chauffeurs picking you up from your hotel in Paris and driving out to my home to walk around the garden, getting to know each other over a cup of coffee. From there we’ll start our treasure hunt, visiting my friend’s antique shop in a tiny town nearby, before we check into la Domaine des Evis, where we stay for the next three nights.

The following days are filled with fun ventures such as a cooking class, floral demonstration, and wonderful meals at exceptional places offering the perfect mix of antiquing and other activities. We next head into Paris, which will be our base for our trips to both the famous antique fair at Chatou, and the markets in Saint Ouen. At each, I will show you my favorite stands and vendors and help you negotiate. 

This trip is meant for everyone that loves antiquing and exploring the beautiful Normandy countryside.  Wherever we go, our chauffeurs, well known for their charm and good humour, will be at our sides helping take purchases to the cars and driving us in comfort to each of our stops.

You’ll be well taken care of from morning till night, with beautiful daily itineraries that show you the best of this region of France, fabulous meals and conversation, and any language help you may need.

And of course for me, the best part of each of my tours is the amazing mix of people who come along.    The exchanges, and beautiful meetings. Our guests come from all over the world, and from very different walks of life, but everyone shares the common bond of a love of French living.   Our groups have always come together wonderfully with a mix of ladies travelling alone;  mother-daughter duos, couples, or friends.
